Help your child cut out the letters in her name from a newspaper or magazine. Look for the biggest letters you can find. Then help her arrange the letters in the right order. Ask her to trace the letters on a piece of paper.

Whenever you and your child play with the letters of the alphabet, encourage her to say the names of the letters out loud. Learning and recognizing alphabet letters is important as children begin to learn to read.
