Try out some new ways your child enjoys writing his name. For example, can he trace his name in the sand at the playground? Can he spell out his name using big plastic letters? Help him spell other simple words, too.
Helping children learn to write their name is an important early writing skill. Children often like to learn by touch. One fun way to give children opportunities to practice writing is to use sensory materials like sand, soap or shaving cream.
