Write your child’s name on a strip of paper, leaving space between each letter. Carefully cut out the letters and put them in an envelope or bag. Let your child pull out the letters and put them in order to spell her name.

One of the first things your child will want to be able to spell and write is her name. This is an important skill to master! As your child pulls out the letters in her name, ask her what other words she can think of that start with those letters.
