Make a book with your child. Use her favorite letters (maybe the letters in her name) and cut out pictures from magazines that begin with that letter. Write the letter on the top of the page and then paste the pictures for that letter on the page. Tie or staple the pages together.
One way to foster a lifelong love of books is to help your child make books that are special or personal to her. This also provides an opportunity for your child to think about how books work, with front and back covers and pages inside. Your child could make a whole alphabet book, finding pictures of objects that start with each letter of the alphabet!
