Take a trip to the library. If your child doesn’t have a library card yet, find out if she is old enough to get one, and then help her fill out the application form. Spend some time looking through the children’s section, and show her how the books are arranged by the first letter of the author’s name. Talk to the librarian about new books or books he’d recommend.
One of the best ways to turn your child into a reader is to encourage her to find books that are of interest to her. Take your child to the library or bookstores often, and give her plenty of time to explore! Talk to her about why she is interested in particular books, and help her find other books that would be of interest to her.
